Growing up in South Africa, my parents took me and my sister on many local holidays up and down the coast and further inland. We loved each of the trips! The first time we came to England and went to the States was when I was 11 and I think that is where I caught the travelling bug, wanting to explore different countries and their cultures.

It’s getting that fine balance between showing your children their heritage and what the country has to offer and exposing them to the rest of the world too I guess (budget permitting!).
