6. Paste this code into your blog post, sometimes the photo will not appear in editor but once published it will.

You can choose whether you include the caption that you originally added with your Instagram photo. I usually include this but have found that if you used emoticons then it goes a little wonky.

You can also change the size that you want by scrolling down to the 5th line where it says ‘max-width:658px;’ – I always change mine to 400px for a better fit on my blog.

Hope that helps :O)

A Trip to Champneys with Next

Adventures/ blogging/ Event

Last week thanks to the wonderful people at Next I got to to go on an overnight spa at Champneys Springs with some other lovely bloggers. I’ve been to quite a few events with Next now but this is the first without the kids and it was lovely to go away for the night and have some quality relaxing time with some very lovely people.  It was so nice just to feel like a person and not a Mum for a little while.

Guess the blogger ;)

We all sat around talking for the majority of the day and eating cake of course… although it did have beetroot in it so it wasn’t too unhealthy 😉 The cafe did the most amazing smoothies so it was just an absolute pleasure to sit and get to know some lovely bloggers and the lovely ladies from Next of course! There were 10 bloggers in total and only 2 that I had not met before so it was great to catch up and also meet two very lovely ladies (Tigerlilly Quinn and School Gate Style).

My room

My room was absolutely lovely, very spacious and the bed was so comfy! I was a bit sad it didn’t have a double bed but seriously it was so comfy (and I was so drunk) that I didn’t need one!  The bathroom had lovely Champneys products in that smelt amazing! I have always loved Champneys products and hadn’t tried the citrus blush range before but now I am hooked!

Treats in our room

Next also left us a treat in our room. A gorgeous gift box containing a gorgeous candle, pair of pyjamas and a lovely scarf! We were really spoilt! These are all available to buy on the website, the PJ’s are so gorgeous and soft… you can see them at the bottom of this post (number 3) :O)

Taking 5 on my bed

For my treatments I had a session in the thalassotherapy pool which was lovely but I found the jets a bit too harsh for my skin a few times and then I had an amazing massage and a facial, after which I went back to my room for a snooze before dinner.

Dinner was a three course meal in the restaurant with lots of prosecco and wine. The company was just wonderful and the whole time I felt incredibly relaxed and happy… and a little drunk 😉

I mentioned above the new bloggers that I met so I just wanted to mention the other lovely ladies that I got to spend sometime with again; there were… The Ana Mum DiaryLove Chic LivingMummy Daddy Me, What Lottie Loves, A New AdditionMummy Bird and Mummy Constant – a fantastic group of ladies! Pop over ot their blogs and read all about the #NextMums event too :)

Getting a gorgeous pair of pyjamas (my first since I became an adult I might add!) has really put me in the mood to buy lots of snugglies for the Winter. So I thought I’d share my top 3 pyjamas from the Next website… perfect for those long lazy weekends for snuggling up with the kids :)

  1. Next PyjamasNavy Check Pyjamas £25
  2. Grey Check Flannel Bottoms £16 & Faux Fur Knit Slipper Socks £15
  3. Pink Cosy Brushed Pyjamas £22

I cannot believe I haven’t owned any PJ’s since I was a child, I always wore nighties but I am now a changed woman! PJ’s all the way for me now!

A huge thanks to the lovely people at Next for taking us on our overnight spa and really spoiling us!! :O)

Four Whole Years!

Four whole years ago I sat down and wrote my first ever blog post for This Mummy Loves… It wasn’t the most inspiring blog post I have ever written but it was the beginning…

The beginning of a wonderful four years full of fantastic friendships and amazing opportunities! I didn’t think it would last this long when I first started but it has and I’m hoping to continue for at least another four years.

I love to go back through my archives reading about the things we have done and seeing how my lovely family has grown up. This blog and all of you have really helped me through some really difficult times. Times when if it hadn’t have been for my lovely blogging friends I wouldn’t have had anyone else to turn to!

So a HUGE thank you to everyone that has stopped by in the past fours years, especially those that have stuck by me all the way, through thick and thin!

Blogging is a wonderful experience, I have seen awful things happen in the blogosphere but with those horrible things I have seen an amazing community come together time and time again to support their fellow bloggers who need them! I am so proud to be a part of that!

  10. Disney’s Enchanted Christmas

My favourite post – I actually cannot choose just one but this from Disney’s Enchanted Christmas is probably my favourite opportunity that my blog has brought me so I will say that is my favourite for now :)

My saddest post – My not so Silent Sunday.

The most amazing thing I have done because of this blog is arrange Grayson’s Trike auction and raise over £2,000 for gorgeous little Grayson for a special trike for him. Knowing he is still having fun on it two years later makes me so happy :)

Ok who’s for cake?

A big thank you to the following bloggers for not only having amazing blogs but being super lovely people too, always there with a smile on twitter to stop me feeling glum :)

Happy 3rd Blog Birthday!

blogging/ personal

So three years ago today I published my first entry onto This Mummy Loves!

When I started I knew that the blogosphere was a wonderful thing as I’d been blogging on and off since 2001 but I wasn’t really prepared for the amazing things that parent blogging were to bring me!

Bugs was almost two months old when I started so I had a cute little baby to photograph and talk about nowadays I find it much harder to write and who wants to look at photos of my kids?

I think I just need to find a new focus, next year I won’t be doing a year in pictures on my blog as I have done it here for the past 2 years and I think it’s a lazy excuse for a blog post (for me anyway) – it will make me sit and think more and come up with other exciting ideas!

So watch this space… I did consider deleting This Mummy Loves for its third birthday but no; I’m digging in my heels and going forward to bigger and better things…

There will be no more babies… I’m having a really hard time accepting this and I know I’m incredibly lucky to have three amazing children but my heart desperately wants another baby and this year has been really hard trying to come terms with that, I can’t bear the thought of never having another baby, it makes me feel sick and scared for how I’ll cope in the future! All I ever wanted in my life was to have lots of kids and now I’m lost… completely lost without purpose and I’m really not sure what to do!

Anyway that’s not what this post is about!

Happy Blog Birthday This Mummy Loves… Here’s to the next three years!

Now who’s for cake?

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has been part of my blogging life over the last three years, you have all been amazing!!

Beautiful Matilda Mae

I was heartbroken to hear about little Matilda Mae passing away last month. I didn’t know Jennie very well although we had chatted a bit on Twitter but I just want Jennie to know that I am so sorry and today my blog will be silent as Matilda Mae’s funeral takes place.

Beautiful Matilda Mae - now the brightest star in our night sky!

Beautiful Matilda Mae – now the brightest star in our night sky!

You can find the Order of Service here. Jennie has created a beautiful service to say goodbye to her baby girl… I so wish you hadn’t had to do that but I am so proud of the strength you have found Jennie!

Rest in Peace little one… we are blowing bubbles for you today xxxxx
