Back to School with

Back to School/ sponsored

It’s that time of year again when I start thinking about the kids going back to school in September! I know! I know! They haven’t even finished for the summer yet but if I don’t do it now I will leave it to the very last minute and then rush about like a headless chicken for the last two days of the holidays! Another reason to start early is so you can shop around and grab yourself some bargains! I’ve recently been checking out what back to school products have on offer and thought I’d show you some of their best! Read more

Back to School Product Guide

Back to School

If you are anything like me you will be starting to think about getting ready to go back to school about now, I always leave it to the last minute and can usually be found school shoes shopping the day before school starts. Determined not to be the very last minute this year I have been having a look around online to see what is out there and there are some really great back to school products available so I thought I’d share some with you today 🙂

I adore this pretty notebook from Paperchase, Boo would absolutely love this – she loves notebooks just like her Mummy 😉 Paperchase has a fab offer online at the moment, if you spend £35 quote 5PAPER to get £5 off or if you spend £60 quote 10PAPER to save £10 and don’t miss the 3 for 2 on stationery.

Back to School with JD Sports

Back to School/ Review/ Trendy Kids

It’s been a busy few weeks getting ready to go back to school, The lovely people at JD Sports helped us out by offering to send Boo one of their school bags and something from their back to school range. Boo has started junior school today and is feeling very grown up,  so she wanted her new school things to reflect this 😉

Firstly she needed a tracksuit for PE so she chose this gorgeous grey vintage Converse tracksuit. It is absolutely gorgeous, so soft and snug and I am really jealous of this to be quite honest, not sure I’d get away with a tracksuit though nowadays 😉

It is actually available to buy as two separate items. The top (Converse Girls Chuck Full Zip Hoody Junior) costs £35.00 and the bottoms (Converse Girls Chuck Patch Pants Junior) between £25.00 and £30.00 depending on the size. It is quite pricey for a tracksuit but it is worth every penny! Boo said it is the most comfortable thing she has ever worn!

Next she choose this awesome pink adidas classic airliner bag; this sells for £35.00 which she fell madly in love with as soon as she saw it (Me too!) It is so lovely and is the perfect size for all her school things!  It is very good quality too, all the zips are good and strong, you can change the length of the strap (which I plan to do when I get my hands on it and steal it for myself 😉

Gosh doesn’t she just look so grown up! She’ll be 8 in a few weeks buy could easily pass for 11/12. It’s very scary watching her grow into a young woman but I just couldn’t be prouder!

A huge thank you to JD Sports for sending us these items free of charge. We are over the moon with them 🙂

Colourful Dove Lunch Bag Review

Back to School/ Review

Last year we were introduced to Colourful Dove when Bugs was sent one of their china gift sets to review which is still going strong to this day! We absolutely love the designs so were very excited when we heard that they were launching lunch bags too!

Bugs loves his lunch bag and is very excited about starting school with it. As soon as I gave it to him he said “Can I go to school now?” Bless him he really is looking forward to school!

The insulated lunch bag is fantastic quality, lovely little touches like the dove zippers and the name label on the back. We are very very pleased with this product. Bugs is expecting to put his crocodile dinner set in it to take to school but I’m not really sure that will be appropriate, he just thinks that they should all go together because they are all the same design 🙂

These fabulous lunchbags come in all four of colourful dove’s bright and bold designs and are perfect for kids lunches. There are fabulous details like the gorgeous dove zip pulls and a handy name badge on the back to write your child’s name so there’s no confusion over lunch bags! There’s a large insulated compartment inside with room to keep your sarnies, fruit and a drink and a handy mesh pocket to hold an ice pack or even better a little treaty surprise! The bags have a wipe clean interior and exterior to keep them looking bright and gorgeous. BPA-free, Phthalate-free.

The little ones really enjoyed trying the new range of Panda still and deliciously fruity drinks with absolutely no nasties! The range comprises of Panda Still Juice Drink in raspberry and blackcurrant flavours and Panda Splash, a fruit flavoured water in both orange & pineapple and blackcurrant flavours. You can also find a Panda Squash in either tropical or summer fruits flavours.

Panda Still Juice and Panda Squash are currently available in Asda, Tesco and Ocado priced at £1.99 for a six bottle multipack. Panda Squash is sold in Tesco, costing 99p for a 1 litre bottle.

I just LOVE Yankee Candle so I was over the moon to receive this brand new, one of three UK exclusives ‘Early Sunrise‘ – the other two are  Napa Valley Sun & Tahitian Tiaré Flower.  Early Sunrise smells absolutely gorgeous and is described as ‘A new day dawns crisp and fresh in this clean lemony citrus scent with hints of ginger and tea.’  It has to be one of my favourites now, I really don’t like overpowering scents, this is so subtle and I just love it! This is a large jar candle priced at £19.99. The candle provides 110 to 150 hours of true fragrance enjoyment.

The lovely people at Big Green Smile sent us these products to try out. From make-up and beauty products to natural cleaners and baby food, Big Green Smile are one of the biggest online retailers of natural and organic products in the UK. We have to be very careful what products we use on our skin as we all have very sensitive skin and also little Bugs has bad eczema so it’s great to get to try out new products. I have heard great things about Jason products so was very pleased to get to use the sun cream. It is a lovely consistency and absorbs into the skin easily, it hasn’t caused any problems with our skin in fact it is just so lovely and makes skin soft – I will always use this suncream now!

The Attitude 3 in 1 is very lightly scented with pomegranate, it pumps as a foam and lathers up really well, I was tempted to use more than I needed at first but you really don’t need to use much at all. This is another hit and is the new bath time favourite! We love products that we can use for everything! This is perfect for chucking in the swimming bag, why take three bottles when you can take just one?!

As lucky Playmobil Playologists we were sent the brand new Playmobil Annual to have a look at! It’s full of fun pages, stories, puzzles and colouring in! Bugs loves this book because it is full of Castles, dragons and knights but the puzzles are a bit too much for him so Boo likes to go though and do all those! If you have a Playmobil fan  who loves Castles, Knights and Dragons and is aged 5+ then this will make a brilliant Christmas gift.

Boo was lucky enough to be sent a preview of Legends of Oz, Dorothy’s return to watch and she absolutely loved it! It will be out on Blu-ray, DVD and on demand from 22nd September this year. Dorthy returns to Oz to save her old friends the Scarecrow,  the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Glinda the Good Witch and the entire Land of Oz from the devious brother of the Wicked Witch of the West – The Jester.

With Dorothy as their only hope to restore happiness to the Emerald City, she embarks on another journey along the yellow brick road, meeting a host of new friends including Wiser the Owl, Marshal Mallow and Tugg the Treeboat along the way.

The lovely people at Sainsbury’s sent Bugs this awesome lunchbox to take on his first day at school! We love that it has a separate bottle compartment and Bugs absolutely loves the pirate design! These are just £7.00 in Sainsbury’s which we think is an absolute bargain! I had seen these in Sainsbury’s a couple of weeks ago and almost bought one, there is also a girlie tea party design which I almost bought for Boo too but I thought I’d wait and I’m pleased I did now as we were sent this one 🙂

Well that’s it for this month, don’t forget to contact me soon if you have a product that you would like to see in September’s edition 🙂

Smash and Nude Food Movers are available in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Wilko’s, ASDA, John Lewis, Lakeland and other good retailers.

I just had a quick look around online to see how much these products sell for as I had no idea and I would expect them to be quite pricey as they are obviously high quality. I was actually pleasantly surprised; the triple snack tower sell for just £3.00 in Ocado and the lunch boxes vary starting around £2.50. I’ve not been able to find the exact same lunch bags online but Smash lunch bags sell from around £7 upwards which is pretty decent when you get a bottle as well!

I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more of these products and I cannot wait to start using them properly 🙂

*We were sent these products free of charge and we absolutely love them 🙂
