I love getting the little ones ready to go back to school. I never really go crazy buying loads of new stuff but there are some things that they just need to have. I’ve stopped buying stationery because they just end up with so much that they never use. I always make sure what we do buy is quality and will last them as long as possible, so I’m happy to pay that bit extra to ensure great products.
Here are our back to school must haves for 2017! Read more
It’s that time of year again when I start thinking about the kids going back to school in September! I know! I know! They haven’t even finished for the summer yet but if I don’t do it now I will leave it to the very last minute and then rush about like a headless chicken for the last two days of the holidays! Another reason to start early is so you can shop around and grab yourself some bargains! I’ve recently been checking out what back to school products Very.co.uk have on offer and thought I’d show you some of their best! Read more

I hope you have found this back to school post useful, what are your must have back to school items?
It’s been a busy few weeks getting ready to go back to school, The lovely people at JD Sports helped us out by offering to send Boo one of their school bags and something from their back to school range. Boo has started junior school today and is feeling very grown up, so she wanted her new school things to reflect this 😉
Firstly she needed a tracksuit for PE so she chose this gorgeous grey vintage Converse tracksuit. It is absolutely gorgeous, so soft and snug and I am really jealous of this to be quite honest, not sure I’d get away with a tracksuit though nowadays 😉
It is actually available to buy as two separate items. The top (Converse Girls Chuck Full Zip Hoody Junior) costs £35.00 and the bottoms (Converse Girls Chuck Patch Pants Junior) between £25.00 and £30.00 depending on the size. It is quite pricey for a tracksuit but it is worth every penny! Boo said it is the most comfortable thing she has ever worn!
Next she choose this awesome pink adidas classic airliner bag; this sells for £35.00 which she fell madly in love with as soon as she saw it (Me too!) It is so lovely and is the perfect size for all her school things! It is very good quality too, all the zips are good and strong, you can change the length of the strap (which I plan to do when I get my hands on it and steal it for myself 😉
Gosh doesn’t she just look so grown up! She’ll be 8 in a few weeks buy could easily pass for 11/12. It’s very scary watching her grow into a young woman but I just couldn’t be prouder!
A huge thank you to JD Sports for sending us these items free of charge. We are over the moon with them 🙂
Last year we were introduced to Colourful Dove when Bugs was sent one of their china gift sets to review which is still going strong to this day! We absolutely love the designs so were very excited when we heard that they were launching lunch bags too!
Bugs loves his lunch bag and is very excited about starting school with it. As soon as I gave it to him he said “Can I go to school now?” Bless him he really is looking forward to school!
The insulated lunch bag is fantastic quality, lovely little touches like the dove zippers and the name label on the back. We are very very pleased with this product. Bugs is expecting to put his crocodile dinner set in it to take to school but I’m not really sure that will be appropriate, he just thinks that they should all go together because they are all the same design 🙂
These fabulous lunchbags come in all four of colourful dove’s bright and bold designs and are perfect for kids lunches. There are fabulous details like the gorgeous dove zip pulls and a handy name badge on the back to write your child’s name so there’s no confusion over lunch bags! There’s a large insulated compartment inside with room to keep your sarnies, fruit and a drink and a handy mesh pocket to hold an ice pack or even better a little treaty surprise! The bags have a wipe clean interior and exterior to keep them looking bright and gorgeous. BPA-free, Phthalate-free.
If green isn’t your colour then check out the other awesome designs that are available…
The lunch bags retail at £16 and are available from the Colourful Dove Facebook shop and other online retailers.
