Yesterday we headed to Lakeside Arts in Nottingham for their 2016 Christmas production Beasty Baby. We watched Neverland at Lakeside last year and thoroughly enjoyed it so were very excited to get invited to watch Beasty Baby.
If you are in the Nottingham area then Beasty Baby is really funny and endearing, most definitely worth taking the kids to see. It lasts just one hour which is perfect, the kids did not move through the whole show and there were lots of laughing children (and adults) throughout.
Deep in the forest, in a wintry land, lives a gorgeously grizzly Beasty Baby. Mayhem and laughter await around every corner as three people embark on a wild adventure to bring up this very mischievous and totally loveable child.
Using an inspired mix of puppetry and live music, Theatre-Rites create a funny and magical shared experience for the whole family to warm up those cold winter days.
Beasty Baby is an absolutely adorable baby who we all fell in love with. My kids have not stopped saying things like “my chair” “my bed” ever since we got home. Take a peep at the video below to see just how adorable he is…
Be quick if you’d like to go and watch Beasty Baby as it is only showing until the end of the year at Lakeside Arts. Tickets are priced at just £8.50 each.
In conjunction with the production, artist Jessica Kemp will transform the Wallner Gallery into Beasty Baby’s wintry world. Children and families are invited to explore the enchanting forest and the cosy log cabin where Beasty Baby’s story takes place.
We loved the Wallner Gallery it really brings the show to life and adds an extra special touch for the children to enjoy. Luckily we arrived early so we had some time to explore this and Boo got to have a cuddle with a Beasty Baby. Make sure you leave yourself some time to explore the gallery if you are going to watch the show.
Another great performance thank you so much Lakeside Arts.
